We are currently looking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position of Implementations Specialist. This person is the hands-on engine of our customer onboarding work: configuring our products, training customers, and walking alongside them through go-live and the first weeks of production. Working under the Implementation Lead, the Specialist owns the day-to-day delivery that makes a conversion feel calm, organized, and successful from the customer's seat.

The Implementations Specialist is responsible for executing the hands-on work of customer onboarding. They configure IBT products to match each customer's setup, deliver training to end users, and serve as the customer's day-to-day contact during the conversion. They work closely with the Implementation Lead, who owns project scope, timeline, and cross-functional coordination, while the Specialist owns the configuration and training execution that makes those plans real. At hire, the Specialist is a generalist across IBT Core, Digital, Mobile, Teller, and Debit; over time they develop deeper specialization in one or two product areas.
his is not a role for someone who wants to do implementations the way they were done five years ago. We expect this person to actively leverage the latest AI tools to transform and modernize how IBT delivers implementations: automating repetitive configuration work, generating and updating training materials, summarizing and accelerating customer prep, and continuously raising the bar on what one Specialist can deliver per quarter. Comfort with — and curiosity about — AI tools is a non-negotiable part of this role.

Equally important, this role will lead the evolution of how we train our customers. Today our training is delivered almost entirely as live, hands-on sessions, which doesn't scale and depends heavily on individual Specialists. We are moving to a hybrid training model: pre-recorded video guides, on-demand online training modules, structured live sessions for collaborative learning, and targeted hands-on time reserved for the configuration and specialist work that genuinely needs it. The Implementations Specialist will be central to designing, producing, and rolling out that new training model — both for the customers they personally onboard and as a reusable asset across our entire client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Configuration & Setup
    • Configure IBT products to match each customer's operational setup, fee schedules, user permissions, and integrations.
    • Validate and test configurations end-to-end before handing them to the customer.
    • Document configuration decisions and customer-specific settings so they're easy to support and audit later.
    • Partner with development and support when configuration scenarios reveal product gaps or bugs.
  • Customer Training & Enablement
    • Deliver training across the full mix of modalities: pre-recorded video guides, on-demand online modules, live virtual sessions, and targeted hands-on time for configuration and specialist work.
    • Help design and build out IBT's hybrid training program — partnering with the Implementation Lead and Client Success to decide what content lives where, what customers self-serve, and what genuinely needs live time.
    • Produce and maintain reusable training assets: recorded walkthroughs, short-form video guides, online learning modules, job aids, and quick-reference guides that work across our customer base, not just the customer in front of you.
    • Adapt training to the audience's experience level — patient with new users, efficient with experienced ones.
    • Run reinforcement sessions and office hours in the first 30-60 days post-conversion so adoption sticks.
  • Implementation Execution
    • Own day-to-day execution of assigned conversion projects under the Implementation Lead's overall plan.
    • Serve as the customer's primary day-to-day contact through configuration, training, and go-live.
    • Keep project tasks current in Zoho Projects so the Lead and broader team have an accurate view of status.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (development, operations, support) on customer-specific needs during the conversion.
  • Continuous Improvement & AI-Driven Modernization
    • Actively use modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Fireflies, and emerging banking-specific tools) to automate and accelerate implementation work — including training material generation, customer prep summaries, configuration documentation, FAQ drafting, and post-meeting follow-ups.
    • Identify steps in our current implementation process that should be replaced, augmented, or eliminated with AI, and bring those proposals forward with a clear before/after view of time saved or quality improved.
    • Pilot new AI workflows on live conversions, measure the impact, and roll the winners into our standard playbooks.
    • Identify recurring customer questions, friction points, and configuration patterns and feed them back into training materials and SOPs.
    • Help refine onboarding playbooks as IBT ONE and new product releases roll out.
    • Over time, grow into a recognized subject matter expert in one or two IBT products and mentor future Specialists.

Skills & Requirements

  • Academic degrees don't carry too much weight with us, but they make statements about your work ethics. You should demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or training customers on a software product, preferably in SaaS, FinTech, or banking.
  • Strong training and presentation skills across multiple modalities: live virtual, on-site hands-on, recorded video, and on-demand online content. Experience producing video walkthroughs or e-learning modules is a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable thinking about training as a product, not an event: what scales, what doesn't, what customers self-serve, and what genuinely needs live time.
  • Comfort with detailed configuration work and structured checklists; you test things before declaring them done.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; calm and patient with customers under pressure.
  • Experience using project tools such as Zoho Projects, Jira, MS Project, or similar.
  • Active, hands-on user of modern AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or equivalent) with a track record — or a clear point of view — on how to use them to modernize day-to-day implementation work.
  • Familiarity with community banking, credit unions, or core banking software is a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% for go-live weeks and complex conversions.
